'Vegan Queen' Pamela Anderson mixes new milkshake (photos)

by Katerina Lorenzatos Makris

Pamela Anderson mixed up several jugs of a new vegan milkshake named in her honor at Millions of Milkshakes on Friday. Along with some good-natured jokes and jiggles, the model, actress, and animal activist served big cups of the blend to reporters, photographers, and fans who crowded into the West Hollywood restaurant (photos below).

When asked by Animal Beat's Katerina Makris why it’s beneficial to be vegan, Anderson replied, “It’s healthier. Just be healthy. Make healthier choices. You can bring your kids here and have a really good milkshake. It’s a good choice. It’s also important for the animals, of course.”

In answer to another reporter’s question about the environmental benefits of being vegan or vegetarian, Anderson said, “It would help the environment. It’s more important than driving a hybrid car. It’s the most important thing you can do for the environment, becoming a vegetarian.”

“Is it hard to find a guy who shares your stand?” asked the reporter.

“Well, I’m single,” Anderson answered, “but there are plenty of men out there who are actually good guys—good vegan boys.”

Millions of Milkshakes mixologist Anthony Cherry (photo below) listed the Pamela Anderson Vegan Milkshake ingredients as pineapple, coconut, banana, peach, and vegan ice cream. He described it as “kind of like a pina colada.”

“I am very proud that now Millions of Makeshakes has a vegan product,” said Sheeraz Hasan, owner of the restaurant and founder of Hollywood.TV. “Pamela Anderson is a dear friend of mine and I invited her to make a milkshake. She told me, ‘You know, I really support PETA, the organization, and I want you to make a product for the vegans, not just in America but around the world.’ It’s my absolute pleasure, and I’m glad we can say at this time that now Millions of Milkshakes is vegan-friendly.”“Come check out my milkshake at Millions of Milkshakes,” Anderson told the cameras. “You won’t regret it."  She then exited to laudatory chants of "Vegan Queen, Vegan Queen!"

Disclosure: Millions of Milkshakes provided Animal Beat's Katerina Makris with a free vegan milkshake. In the opinion of Makris, the Pamela Anderson milkshake does taste kind of like a pina colada. Checking it out was not regretted.
