Dog dumped at shelter so that owners could vacation in new RV

by Katerina Lorenzatos Makris

Some people buy an RV and travel the country with their dogs. Sombra’s people bought an RV and… dumped him.

“Their first stop,” said a spokesperson for Friends of County Animal Shelters, “was the county shelter to leave him behind, homeless.”

Incomprehensible, especially given the facts that this compact 23-pound cocker spaniel mix is housetrained and great on a leash.

Sweet Sombra, eight years young, deserves better.

Can you spring this great guy from the shelter and give him the love-filled life that his former owners denied him?

His $69 adoption fee includes neuter, license, microchip, and vaccinations.
