SADIE Sadie is an adorable 2 year old, 10 pound Chihuahua Dachshund mix that came to us from the Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter.
She is now in a C.A.P.E. foster home and showing what a wonderful, well-rounded, easy-going dog she is.
She loves playing with other dogs and would like to find a forever home that has another dog or two because she feels more secure with a friend.
Sadie loves going in the car and meets every new place with an unflappable attitude and tail wag. She especially likes the dog park.
Sadie is house broken and sleeps in her crate with her house mate. She loves to snuggle and is a sweet and undemanding dog that will be a wonderful additional to any family.

Sparky Sparky almost always has a smile on his face. Considering the horrible circumstances from which he was rescued, it is truly amazing that this little guy can be so happy all the time. Everyone he meets falls instantly in love with him.
Sparky loves to fetch and play with his toys. He would make an outstanding agility dog and/or running buddy. He has a terrific sense of humor. He is very entertaining! He loves people and dogs of all shapes and sizes. He's not cat or chicken agressive. He would love a home with land to satisfy his exploring, curious mind. He would love at least one other playful dog in his family.
Sparky is super smart and desires most of all to bring joy and happiness to his family. He's very huggable.

Odessa Odessa is a two year old Rat Terrier mix. She came in as a stray to the Santa Cruz shelter and no one came to claim her. She is now in a foster home which she shares with three other dogs. Odessa is a real charmer, give her a few minutes and you will be in love. She adores other dogs, going to the dog park and also does well with children. She is the best of both worlds, playful and a fantastic lap warmer! This dainty little princess is going to make someone very happy. Nala This 35 pound beagle/corgi mix may be 7 years old but no one has told Nala how to behave like an old lady. Nala is a spunky, fun loving friend who is always willing to go for a walk, bound up and down the stairs, play fetch with you and the kids or just watch TV and take a nap. Little Ms. Nala is a pet-owner’s dream.
She is potty trained, and knows her basic commands, along with a few cute tricks. She is always willing to please and give out kisses whenever she can. Nala is wonderful with our house cat and has been the neighborhood kids’ favorite new play mate. Although she may greet other dogs, she has more interests in her human friends.
Nala comes all the way from Arizona , where she had a loving family. Sadly, due to economic downturn they had to give her up to a family friend who then had to surrender her to the Santa Cruz ASA. Understandably, after so many homes and watching people she loves leave her, Nala suffers from separation anxiety. Everyday, she gets better and better but she does require a calm, understanding and patient family to help her overcome her fears.
Nala is shy at first, thus one might assume that she is standoffish or not affectionate; we can safely say that this is simply not true. Once you have earned her trust, Nala is a perfect pet.
